Billy Vale Fountain’s mind and body are perfect again as he entered Heaven on July 21, 2015. His journey here on earth began September 4, 1931 growing up in Northville, NY as the son of the late Hazel and Maurice Fountain.
He was educated at Houghton College with a Master’s degree from Cornell University and worked the majority of his career at Rochester Midland Corp. He spent the later years of his working days with the Christian ministry organizations Churches Alive and Young Life.
He was a man of God, devoted husband, father and friend. Your life was impacted when you spent time with Bill Fountain. He was known as a man of deep and inquisitive questions. His question’s challenged you, made you think, and maybe even made you cry. He often walked to his own beat not worrying what others were doing but always attempting to be in step with His Lord and Savior. He loved to ski, play tennis and join you around the card table with a big bowl of ice cream. Through the years, he was an active member of Faith Missionary Church of Indianapolis, IN and Bethany Covenant Church of Bedford, NH. When all is said and done; he loved Jesus, shared his faith with others, and imparted it on his family.
He was a beloved husband to Nancy Fountain who has likely welcomed him to the Kingdom with her infectious little cackle and a couple claps of the hands. He leaves behind a faithful second wife Barbara Fountain of Indianapolis, IN who thanks God for even the short time He gave them in this life. He also leaves a legacy of Christ followers in his children Jim (Kathy), Cindy (Glenn), David, and Cheri (Tom) and grandchildren, AJ, Josh, Justin, Bucky, Allie, Brandon, Mackenzie, and Ella.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Young Life Noblesville at younglife.org or Faith Missionary Church.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Missionary Church, 9125 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46240 at 11:00am on August 8th. The family invites you to join them for a reception immediately following the service.

I offer my deepest sympathy to Jim, Cindy, Dave, Cheri and families at this time of loss. Bill was my brother-in-law, mentor and best friend. We shared countless memories over the years and each time we were together we would reminence over the journey we shared. He encouraged me to think more deeply regarding our Christian pilgrimage.i will miss him but am so grateful that our paths crossed. Bon voyage Bill, see you at the gate.

While it is wonderful to know that his suffering has been replaced with eternal joy, the loss of one who was once so full of life and love is difficult to process. I am grateful for the influence Billy had in my father’s life those 65 years ago and for the relationship they shared well after college days. After Dad died, it was always a joy to chat with Billy. Praying for healing amidst the hurt for all of you precious people.

We’re going to miss this guy!
Bill worked with Churches Alive, along with my parents Jim and Peg. His visits with them allow me to meet him and Barbara during a Florida winter.
He shared the love of Christ with others.
Grace and peace to the family.
Julie Hoster Meiners says
Dear Fountains, Your parents were absolutely instrumental in the beginnings of my faith. Loving God, His church, their family and everyone they met with such warmth, acceptance and boldness of faith left an undeniable impact on anyone who knew them. I smile when I think of your dad, with a twinkle in his eye even when I backed into his tree and knocked over their friend’s mailbox. So, so thankful to have known all of you. Holding you close these difficult days.
Love, Hoster
